
TOMORROW: COMPTROLLER SEAN SCANLON OBSERVES PTSD AWARENESS MONTH
(HARTFORD, CT)—Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., Comptroller Scanlon will be joined by first responders and dispatchers, labor representatives, and advocates to observe Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Month.
Each June, PTSD Awareness Month acknowledges the impact various events can have on one’s mental health, from military service to physical or sexual violence to extreme natural disasters.
Speakers will share their lived experiences, discuss resources and supports available, and promote seeking help for those struggling with PTSD.
