Democrat and Republican members of the Southeastern Connecticut Legislative Delegation will host a press conference in the North Lobby of the Capitol on Monday, April 27th, 2026, at 11 a.m., to acknowledge Southeastern Connecticut Day at the Capitol.
The event, which will feature a wide range of restaurants, local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, will also be held in the North Lobby beginning at 10 a.m.
The purpose of the press conference is to highlight Southeastern Connecticut and recognize the area as a vital economic engine for the state.
From the defense industry and maritime tourism to world-class entertainment and tribal enterprises, Southeastern CT generates billions in revenue and supports thousands of jobs for Connecticut residents.
The region's diverse business landscape and continued investment in its growth will also be highlighted, with many vendors from the area on hand to mark the day.
