Courtney, Submarine School sailors to participate in Broad Street Community Garden clean-up
Effort highlights food insecurity, supports St. Vincent de Paul Place Food Pantry
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Joe Courtney tomorrow, SATURDAY, May 18 at 9:00 a.m., will join sailors from the Naval Submarine School in Groton to participate in the Broad Street Community Garden clean-up. The effort supports St. Vincent de Paul Place Food Pantry. For the past four growing seasons, the garden has donated fruit and vegetables to St. Vincent De Paul Place soup kitchen and to the Norwich Clergy Association Food Locker for distribution to their patrons.
