TODAY: CT LEGISLATORS STAND FOR DIGNITY WITH ESSENTIAL WORKERS
Legislators will join essential workers to provide a platform for frontline voices and call for greater protections.

HARTFORD, Conn. — Labor Committee Co-chair Robyn Porter (D-New Haven and Hamden), Chair of the Black and Puerto Rican Caucus Brandon McGee (D-Hartford and Windsor), Co-chair of the Progressive Caucus Anne Hughes (D-Easton, Redding and Weston) will come together with additional state legislators and essential workers to highlight stories of frontline service and sacrifice through the novel coronavirus pandemic on the north steps of the Capitol TODAY, Thursday, June 4 at 11:00 a.m.

Legislators and frontline workers from hospitals, grocery stores, interstate rest stops, state facilities providing services for people with physical and mental disabilities, and workers providing other essential services will make policy demands as they continue to provide care and deliver services during this pandemic. Participants will be available to answer questions from the media once the speaking program has concluded.

Please note that social distancing guidelines will be followed for those who choose to attend. Please keep 6 feet apart and wear gloves and a mask.
