CT — The East Hartford Democratic Town Committee voted to endorse Congressman John Larson for re-election, becoming the first Democratic Town Committee to endorse any candidate in the race. The endorsement is especially significant given that Larson has lived in East Hartford his entire life and has spent decades fighting for the community he calls home. From growing up in Mayberry Village, to coaching and teaching at Penney High School, to walking the halls of Congress, Larson has always fought for East Hartford. His record of delivering for East Hartford includes: Securing nearly $400 million in federal investment to support infrastructure improvements, housing, libraries, public buildings, workforce development, and small businesses. Protecting and growing good-paying jobs by fighting to ensure Pratt & Whitney remains the sole engine supplier for the F-35, and increasing investments in employment services for young people and underserved communities. Fighting to keep our small businesses alive, delivering more than $13 million to help East Hartford businesses and restaurants recover and grow.
