CCSU to host commencement exercises on campus

NEW BRITAIN, CT – Central Connecticut State University will host two outdoor commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, at which approximately 2,600 students will graduate.
The ceremonies will take place at the University’s Arute Field where undergraduates and graduates of each school will be recognized according to the following schedule:
9 a.m. ceremony
Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences
School of Business
2:30 p.m. ceremony
School of Education & Professional Studies
School of Engineering, Science & Technology
Troy McMullen ’89 will address students at the 9 a.m. ceremony. McMullen is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who is the current executive editor at ABC News in New York. He is a regular contributor to several international publications, including The Washington Post, Architectural Digest, and The Financial Times.
Michele “Mickey” Perez ’14, ’16 will address students at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony. Perez is an industrial manager at Pratt & Whitney and the founder of Super Jet Brunette, an organization that engages the next generation of students in technology, engineering, aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, and science education.
The names of each degree candidate will be read aloud during both ceremonies.
