GOVERNOR LAMONT ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS FROM MUNICIPAL LEADERS FROM ACROSS CONNECTICUT

Local leaders rally behind Governor Ned Lamont’s proven leadership, affordability agenda, and real results ahead of nominating convention

Hartford, CT – Governor Ned Lamont today announced a wave of over 50 endorsements from municipal leaders across Connecticut. From cities and towns in every corner of the state, mayors and first selectmen are lining up behind Lamont’s record of results and unwavering focus on affordability. They know him as a proven partner and someone who listens, shows up, and works side-by-side with local leaders to deliver for their communities. As the May nominating convention approaches, that track record of collaboration and results is building momentum with leaders and voters alike.

“From our cities to our small towns, people are coming together because they’ve seen the real progress we’ve made and they believe in where we’re headed,” said Governor Lamont. “I’ve been proud to partner with mayors and first selectmen across Connecticut, working side-by-side to strengthen our communities, support our schools, and deliver real results for families. Together, we’ve helped our cities grow stronger, our towns thrive, and our state move forward. This broad coalition reflects that shared progress, and I’m deeply grateful for their support as we keep building a more affordable, more opportunity-filled Connecticut.”

Governor Lamont has made affordability and steady, results-driven leadership the foundation of his administration, working in close partnership with local leaders to move Connecticut forward. Since taking office, he has invested in education, childcare, and infrastructure, advanced priorities like paid family and medical leave and a higher minimum wage, and strengthened the state’s fiscal footing while cutting taxes and paying down debt. That balanced approach has created a stable environment for cities and towns to grow, giving mayors and first selectmen the confidence to deliver for their communities and a reason to unite behind his re-election.
