Connecticut alone has more than 100,000 solar power installations. In Connecticut, Sun Day’s goal is raise visibility of the benefits of renewable power solutions for Connecticut residents in their homes, in their communities and across the state, and also urge key decision makers to help build the growth of clean energy.
WHO: The Connecticut event is part of a national Sun Day observance led by a broad spectrum of leading environmental activist organizations. Third Act Connecticut -- the state’s chapter of the nationwide advocacy group of Americans age 60-plus – is partnering with the Geography and Sustainability Academic Programs at Central Connecticut State University to host the state’s Sun Day gathering, along with The Connecticut Coalition for Climate Action, and dozens of others. The Connecticut Green Bank and the Hampshire Foundation are sponsors.
