Mayor Ganim and City Council President Jeanette Herron Release Statements Regarding the Passing of Officer Cooper Whiteside
Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim and Bridgeport City Council President Jeanette Herron have issued statements regarding the tragic passing of Bridgeport Police Officer, Cooper Whiteside:
"It is with a heavy heart to acknowledge the passing of Bridgeport Police Officer, Cooper Whiteside,” stated Mayor Ganim. “At this time, we extend our condolences
to the family and friends of Officer Whitehead, and the family and friends of Brittany Islami, who also tragically passed away during the same incident. We send prayers during this difficult time and wish both families healing from this horrific incident."
City Council President Jeanette Herron stated, “I want to share my condolences to the family and friends of both Officer Cooper Whiteside and Brittany Islami. This was such a terrible incident that no one could possibly prepare for. As we stand together as a community during this difficult time, I also extend prayers to the entire Bridgeport Police Department as they recover from this loss.”
