BRIDGEPORT—On
Monday,
U.S.
Senator
Chris
Murphy
(D-Conn.)
will
host
the
first
“Export
Expo
&
Forum”,
a
panel
discussion
with
representatives
from
European
Union
countries
and
Federal
Trade
officials
to
discuss
current
and
future
opportunities
for
Connecticut
businesses
in
Europe.
Murphy
is
hosting
this
event
to
help
expand
Connecticut’s
relationship
with
the
Europe,
the
state’s
largest
export
market.
This
event
will
also
allow
lawmakers
to
hear
from
Connecticut
businesses
about
their
experiences
exporting
to
Europe
in
advance
of
the
European
Union’s
negotiations
with
the
United
States
on
the
Transatlantic
Trade
and
Investment
Partnership
(TTIP).
After
the
panel
discussion,
Connecticut
companies
will
have
the
opportunity
to
have
one-on-one
meetings
with
the
U.S.
Department
of
Commerce
Commercial
Service,
the
British
Consul
General
and
Commercial
Attachés
to
discuss
business
opportunities
for
their
products
and
services
in
the
UK Market.
