WEDNESDAY: Treasurer Russell Celebrates “529 Day” and Throws Out First Pitch at Dunkin’ Park 

Treasurer Erick Russell, Trustee of the Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET), will address the crowd and throw out the first pitch prior to the Yard Goats game at Dunkin’ Park in Hartford on Wednesday evening to celebrate “529 Day.”

CHET is the tax-advantaged 529 college savings plan sponsored by the Office of the Treasurer and managed by Fidelity. Families attending the game will be able to talk with CHET staff and pick up informational resources. Treasurer Russell will share a proclamation from Governor Ned Lamont declaring May 29, 2024, “529 Day” in the state of Connecticut.
