The ceremony will honor students who are slated to complete their graduation requirements by the close of the Fall 2024 semester or the Winter Intercession. Students who completed their requirements over the summer are also eligible to participate.
Michelle Halloran Gilman '92, the commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, will serve as this year's commencement speaker.
For one and three-quarters of a century, Central has served as the state’s oldest and largest publicly funded institution of higher education, providing students with the knowledge and tools to succeed personally and professionally. In marking Central’s 175th anniversary, the university celebrates its history, growth, achievements, and innovations while looking toward the future. This commencement ceremony will be the final event of the anniversary year, marking a momentous series of events in the university’s and the state’s history.
