BRIDGEPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY HELPS RESIDENTS GET TRAVEL-READY FOR SUMMER WITH PASSPORT FAIR
Bridgeport, CT
- Bridgeport Public Library (BPL) invites residents and families to attend a special Passport Fair at the Burroughs-Saden Main Library on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Appointments are encouraged
and
can be made at this link,
but walk-ins are also welcome throughout the event.
The Passport Fair offers community members a convenient opportunity to apply for a new United States passport for while receiving guidance through the application process from trained Passport Acceptance staff.
Whether planning future international travel, studying abroad, taking a family vacation, participating in educational or cultural exchange programs, or ensuring readiness for unexpected travel needs, a valid passport is an important document for individuals and families.
“Bridgeport Public Library is proud to provide passport services that help connect our community to opportunities beyond our borders,” said Elaine Braithwaite, City Librarian. “This Passport Fair is designed to make the process more accessible and convenient for residents who may be preparing for travel, educational experiences, work opportunities, or family visits abroad.”
BPL encourages residents to take advantage of this convenient opportunity to complete their passport applications locally and receive assistance navigating the process in a welcoming community setting.

- Applicants must bring passport photos with them. *Photos will not be taken at the library.
- Passport application forms must be completed prior to arrival.
