Central professor Jeff Teitler wins four New England Emmys for Hartford HealthCare Films

New Britain, Conn. - Hartford HealthCare in partnership with Central professor Jeff Teitler earned top honors at the 48th Annual Boston/New England Emmy Awards on June 7, with four Emmy wins in four categories.

Teitler is the artistic director of Envision Films, an independent film production company that has created numerous short films for Hartford HealthCare.

As a professor of Production and Performance Studies, Teitler teaches required courses for students enrolled in the Integrated Multimedia Production program at Central. Launched in February, the Integrated Multimedia Production program combines courses from the departments of Art & Design, Communication, Journalism, and Music to prepare students to work in a variety of media industries and focuses on the creation, production, and distribution of multimedia on various platforms.

Teitler’s films in the following categories won Emmy awards:

• PSA Campaign: The Excellence Campaign: What is Excellence?

• Societal Concerns - Short Form Content: Bulletproof: Hospital Based Violence Intervention

• Health/Medical - Short Form Content: Rise: Early Mobility in the ICU

• PSA Single Spot: Holiday Video - Hartford HealthCare Colleagues Perform Auld Lang Syne
