Hello everyone,
I have been running the ctmm package and receive both OUf and OUF anisotropic outputs. What is the difference between the OUF and OUf model types?

Thank you everyone!

Hi Haley,

OUf is described in help("ctmm.fit") as the OUF model but when the two autocorrelation timescales cannot be distinguished. This can be important in short tracks of range resident data (and particularly in CPFs) where both tau parameter estimates cannot be supported by the data and the fitted OUF model would have bad parameter uncertainty estimates.

Best,
Chris
