I will be presenting a talk at The Wildlife Society (TWS) 2026 Annual Conference entitled "Enhancing Wildlife Tracking Through RSSI-Based UHF and VHF Radio Telemetry Multilateration." The presentation is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, from 8:45 to 9:00 AM.
The talk will introduce a novel two-step probabilistic multilateration framework that we have developed to estimate animal locations from received signal strength indicator (RSSI) data collected by a spatially distributed network of nodes (receivers). This framework enables an explicit and anisotropic quantification of the uncertainty in location estimates and will soon be incorporated into the ctmm R package as the multilaterize() function.
Additional information about the presentation is available under the session "Advances and Applications in Automated Radio Telemetry Systems" on the TWS 2026 conference website (https://www.xcdsystem.com/tws/program/hY2q9bf/index.cfm).
