Hi Chris, is it possible to export the outlie plot as a shapefile, with the blue lines and red dots? I have some extra-home range movement (unusual for a koala) and would like to see where it fits on an aerial photo in QGIS.
thanks.

Hi Dave,

Is this for outlier identification or for analysis of movement behaviors? If it's the latter and say you want to color high speed movements, then I would run the data through speeds() to annotate it with better instantaneous speed information, and then export that for plotting colors in QGIS. The point locations are the same as the data; it's just the speed estimates that are used for emboldening & coloring the line segments. The estimates produced by outlie() are tailored for outlier detection, while the the estimates produced by speeds() are of much better quality, but they assume there are no outliers.

Best,
Chris
