Hi all,

I am a graduate student working with spotted turtles, attempting to observe if their home ranges overlap changes as a a result of precipitation and climate change (between sexes).
I am currently using the ctmm programing to use an ADKE with my telemetered turtles and was thinking about using a bhattacharyya coefficient.. but I am unsure of how to go about that, especially in regards of how to use the bhattacharrya within the code. I have had trouble with the ADKE code from the buffalo paper, as the GUESS function seems to slow my computer down and force R to quit.
I was hoping someone could assist me in a direction to take in regards to this predicament!

Thanks so much,
Cheers!
Mick

Hi Mick,

My daughter and I helped a spotted turtle cross the street a few months ago!

The ctmm.guess() function slows down your computer? That's pretty strange, as that function doesn't really do anything intensive. Feel free to message/email me a minimal working example (script + code) and I can take a look at it.

Best,
Chris
