Received report of nut almost spinning off.  I'm not familiar with Pulpit.  Stated 2nd set of anchors and 3rd chain from left.  I would assume that any and all Triplex bolts on that wall need threadlocking.  I took care of everything on the Hospital (Main) Wall, but didnt make it to the Pulpit Wall.  I dont know when I'll be able to get back out there in the near future.  If anyone has the time, please take low to med strength threadlock and use a 17mm wrench to torque just past hand tight if using a box wrench or to ~ 25 ft lbs if using a torque wrench.

Please post up if you take care of this.

Thanks so much,
Matt Twyman

"low to med strength thread lock" - does that translate to loctite blue (242)?

Yes, I believe so.  Sounds like Doug Bins has time to attend to this.

Another Option is SS Nylock Nuts.  I know of some rebolting groups in the PNW that use the Nylocks on Stud Bolts.  I've used them on a few bolts here an there.  The Metric option is a bit more pricey of course (Triplex).

The advantage if the Nylock is if it needs MORE tightening later on you don't have the threads all gunked up with dried on Loctite.  Just snug up again and go.

For what its worth, Kevin from Fixe recommended adding a cheap lockwasher.  http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-lock-washers/=m8e8ko

Cheap and should work fine.

Agreed on the nylocks.  That should really be Fixe's standard nut.

For the compressional forces involved, split lock washers are really overwhelmed.  They're good for hand tight but beyond that I think they're pointless.  But they are cheap and certainly dont hurt.

Figured that without having to buy and add more material the proposed solution seemed quick and easy enough.

Suggestions much appreciated.  There's always more than one option.

The best option is to not install Triplex bolts in Limestone in the first place.  Bummer that option isn't available here.

Of course.  The bolts are solid, they just need some small corrections.

Of course, the most important thing is to NOT put the sleeve on the outside of the hanger.  It must always be between the rock and the hanger.
