I know some of you may need to test before the Gas Nationals in a few
weeks. I don't know if I can make it out as I have commitments early
in the afternoon. If I do make it out it will be early Sunday and I'll
have to leave by about noon. Hope to see some of you this weekend.

Storage fees for the Drivers stand.

According to the agreement for storage for the drivers stand, the
fees have not ben paid for this year. The fees are past due for
April, May, June, July, August, and September. A total of $120.00.
My sister has asked for the payment to be made in full, as agreed,
and on time, or at least pay the amount due thru September, and then
remove the items belonging to the club from her property.

Bill you know the club is almost broke. We don't have the money for
her right now. We did put in an agreement to try and fix the LED signs
and see if we could sell them on EBAY to make the club some money. I
have not been successful with the LED message board interface. I just
have not spent much time on it lately.
If you want to sell these they need to work. I'm not convinced they
work as I have been unable to get them to respond at all.

We will need to collect money from the members (including you) so we
can pay your sister in the mean time. I told you a few months ago what
the status was on the signs. Have not heard much from you since and I
know I have had little time to play with them. I have one at work
where I was playing with it. I have the software now and a interface
card but the wiring needs to be debugged. May need to use the network
interface as I have had zero luck with the rs488 interface.

Perry I ran through the file this weekend. I did find your check.

I agree that Vangie should be paid but I was under the assumption that
Bill told her what was going on with the signs.
THis all stems from the fact that the club has not held a race in a
few years. Since we have had no money making
race lately then were in the situation we are in now. Bill was
gracious enough to donate several message board signs and I told
him I would try to get them working so we could generate some funds.
Well I have not held up my end of the bargain as
it has not worked as well as I initially hoped. Sorry all.

I'll cut a check for Vangie today and get it to her. I think I have
her address at work. I'll make the signs a bigger deal after the nats
so we can at least cover the expenses we have.

BTW - Vangie should have her check by now. I cut one from my own
account. You all can pay or help to pay me back. I know there are only
about five active members at the moment. Me, Danny, Bill P. Lee, and
Perry. If we want to split it six ways (assuming Bill S. will take
part) then it will be $40.00 each just to cover the rent on the stand.
If we hold a race I know we can get some financial help to help us
out. We really need the members of the club to step forward and
actually agree to run and work the race. Typically it was me or one
other person doing the heavy lifting. My situation is such that I just
don't have a lot of free time. I was very lucky to make time to go to
two races this year. If we plan now I might be able to make it to two
races again next year. I would like at least one of those to be OUR
race. I would love to have it in Llano again. We had a good turnout
and with a little help we can make it a terrific race.
