I know we wanted to do a work weekend on the drivers stand trailer on
the 5th of January but this just is not working well for me. I can do
it the 26th of January but not any of the weekends between then and
now. Please lets see what the schedules look like for the 26th. This
is only two weeks prior to the Ski Ranch race so if we are to get this
done we need to do it then or not.

I have Boy Scout events the weekends of the 12th and the 19th. The
fifth can be done if you all want to push on it but I may not be able
to make it. Lets discuss.

Lets book the 26th at 8:00AM till all day long.

Essentially we would like to get the side panels applied and get the
door put on for the storage area under the stand. Nearly all of the
material is available out there already. We also have some painting to
do once the panels are up and some additional lighting that needs to
be installed to make this trailer legal. You need marker lights at the
top and bottom corners and along the sides.

We may need to purchase a few extra panels for the stand but I think
were in good shape to get 95% of the stand covered. I'll try to pick
up a few extra ones for the day.

We will need you to bring gloves, tin snips if you have them, hand
drills would be beneficial. The screws are self drilling/tapping and
are based on a 5/16" socket head. I have an electric shear and also a
thin metal blade for a circular saw to help cut the panels. In general
once they are cut then we will need some folks to install them. Will
take a bit of time as there are a lot of panels.

Please take care when driving off the drive way so that no one gets
stuck or puts ruts in the ground.

Got all the side panels on but the access door and the upper deck
between the drivers side and the judges stand. Did get all the
flashing installed around the top as well and plan to finish up the
task in the next week or so. It looks like an old BBQ pit because the
panels have weathered a bit sitting under the stand for six months.
Bill P. said we should paint Bubba's Airstream on the side! I think it
actually has a lot of character. Looks sorta cool in a way. We could
always paint the panels if we wanted to but I like it this way for
now.

I also welded an access door to the storage area and have the latch
hardware. Need to put in about one more day to finish the tasks. Need
to hang the lights as well. All in all a productive weekend. Just a
little bit of followup will make it ready to go.

I'll try to get the license plates updated today and then if things
work out tomorrow or Thursday I'll put in some time on it to get the
door panel put on and the lights hung
along with the corner pieces. I need to be out of town this weekend
but SUnday would be a good time to finish some small pieces. I have an
extra set of lights and the marker lights
as well. The light kit came with wire Bill. May need more though. I'll
see how far I get and let you know the pieces left to do. I may weld
in an exta support in the rear to help hold the paneling
and not rely only on the wood and the wire for the cross brace.

Bill I can't do this weekend as I'm not available to work on the
trailer. I'll try to get what I said done and then you may have to
finish it up. I'll let you know what i can do. At this point i can not
get out tomorrow but possibly Thursday.
