Suggest at least a couple weeks notice of intent to have a club
meeting, so schedules can be juggled if needed. Friday noonish
announcement for the Sunday before Christmas, for me just isn't
enough time to change schedules. I would think that to call a
meeting, the membership should be advised of the agenda, be given
adequate advance notice of the date, so that there is time to adjust
schedules and prepare to address the items on the agenda.
Suggestions for items to be on the agenda for the next club meeting:
Election of officers.
Change election of officers from a one year term to a two year term.
Set a date for continuing the trailer repairs and updates.
Set race dates and send sanctions to IMPBA as soon as is possible for
these events so that our date will not be covered or infringed upon
by other district activities.
Discuss the possibility of having a "Club Race" each month with
accumulated points , and special prizes or trophies , to be awarded
to certified and bona-fied club members with the highest scores in
their class (s) at the end of the Season.
Set a time for regular club meetings to allow the membership to be
advised of changes, current activities and news of what is happening
in the District. I would favor a quarterly meeting, possibly at the
pond prior to on-the-water activities for that day.
