Rally to Defend New Britain Public Schools!

Downtown New Britain,  across from the City Hall (27 West Main Street, New Britain)

New Britain schools are experiencing a budget crisis having to layoff 104 teaching positions which will increase class size to 25-27 at the Kindergarten level, 35 at the middle level, 30-40 students per class at the high school level.

Recently, the mayor of New Britain vetoed the city counsel attempt to add $1.5 million to the school board budget which would have restored 25 teaching positions.

There will be a rally tomorrow in down town New Britain, Wednesday July 7 at 6:30 pm across from the city hall.

Please come and show your support for the schools in New Britain.
