PARTICIPANT INFORMATION STATEMENT: Project Title: "Waste Management Practices in Indian Construction Industry- Status, Challenges and Opportunities" Investigators: V G Ram, Prof. K N Satyanarayana and Dr. Ashwin Mahalingam Affiliation of Investigators: Building Technology and Construction Management Division, Dept. of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras, Chennai-600036. Short description of the project: We are conducting this questionnaire survey to understand the waste management practices in Indian construction sites and challenges associated with them. We kindly request you to participate in this survey and your responses will be very valuable for our research. The aim of this survey is to understand the waste handling practices and the challenges associated with them from the contractor's perspective. The survey will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes only and by answering the questions, the participant might also be getting a clearer picture of the waste management at their sites and ways of improving them. Your participation can be completely anonymous and you do not need to mention your name or identity. The data collected will be used only for academic purposes.
