Hi,

I downloaded Netbeans 6.0 and starting playing with the SOA features.

When I try to deploy a composite app to Glassfish, I get the following error:

ERROR: (JBIMA1407) Required component sun-bpel-engine is not installed on target server.

I noticed that the only service engine installed is: sun-javaee-engine.

Also noticed that there’s only one Binding component: sun-http-binding.

I tried searching for these components, but they don’t seem to be freely available.

Any ideas?

You'll probably have better luck on the nbusers mailing list. It looks
like a dependency bug in their autoupdate setup.

Hi

Netbeans has got different download bundle packs (same as Eclipse) each targeted to a specific audience like Java SE-, JEE-, J2ME - and C++ developers.

Make sure you download the Netbeans pack named 'All', which includes SOA and the Sun Bpel engine.

Hopes this helps.

PS. Is this your first time playing with Netbeans? It's really an awesome IDE!

Hi,

Yeah, I installed the SOA components separately, but the bpel engine is still missing.

I went to the Open ESB site and saw that there’s a new download available with Netbeans 6.1 and JBI Components etc.

Gonna install that and see.

The SOA features in Netbeans are pretty impressive.

Thanks

Further to my previous email, Open ESB V2 Preview 3 has the BPEL Service Engine and more:
