Hello CTC'ers. We're looking for help to identify ideas from around the globe of how community technology centers, libraries, community centers, learning commons, schools, etc. are tapping into new high speed networks and applications to enhance the way
these organizations accomplish their missions and promote human development and digital inclusion in their communities. How do service models change with the availability of high-speed networks? Are applications being developed from within, or are tech companies
and service providers changing their services for the organizations? How are initiatives using high speed networks gaining buy-in from the community? How are they being funded? Any leads you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Our goal is to create a list of case examples to be included in a series of continuing education forums and an eventual white paper exploring how libraries can adopt and use next-generation Internet networks to address social inclusion. While the primary audience
for the outputs is libraries, we believe there is much to learn from how all types of organizations with a community service mission are tapping into high speed networks and applications.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
