Very nice to see you post on the meeting Tharsha. I dont think there wasn't any flaw in the presentation. But let me tell you, most (>50%)of the communication skills are developed only through Table Topics. So always be ready to take it up, don't mind  presenting it bad. Presenting Bad today in front of 20 members is better than presenting in front of 20K members tomorrow..!! Anyways great to see you getting involved into the club proceedings. All the best for the forthcomings.

To avoid the confusions on the Time calculations, I've developed a TIME RECORD SHEET for my convenience and I'm attaching it with this mail. Toastmasters do inform me if there is any error else you too can use it if you find the attachment useful.

Tharsha, that was indeed a great format. I too was thinking about it long back. Goodness, you've done it. The format is good. We can also adopt it, but the art is missing. That I'll take care. Let us discuss with the fellow TMs also. Also we were thinking on a electronic timing signal. Since u r a graduate in electronics, u can think about how it can be done.

Lets look at small areas like this where we can focus to make incremental changes for the good.

Thanks. I'm not aware of the art that you are mentioning and anyways
send me a copy when that work is done.
E-Timer sounds interesting and if time permits i'll develop a
prototype of it very soon..
How about this?
An automatically movable stand (for videotaping speeches) along with
an inbuilt timer in it... Stand should be comfortable of holding handy
cam as well as mobile phones.. Since the stand is moving along with
the speaker, he/she will get a clear view of the time signal...
E-timer's can also have a mild beep sound after the red signal, etc...
Person who acts as the timer of the day can note down the individual
times through an LED display facing the timer..
