My Dear Members of District 82,
I wish to dedicate this great deed of success to every one of you!
With great pleasure, I take this golden opportunity to say ‘thank you’ and reach out to my dear members for one last time as your servant leader of year 2016/17.
It has been a simply amazing & awesome year that we were able to reach our goal “to be the best President’s Distinguished District in the World of Toastmasters”, which was truly a result of realizing the toastmasters’ philosophy of ‘believing in individuals and keeping the program simple and enjoyable’.
We were truly successful in involving ourselves to uphold the three missions; the Mission of Toastmasters International, the Mission of the District and the Mission of the club and the values of toastmasters. I am humbled to witness that every member was able to share our vision to ENGAGE fully to evolve as a better communicator and a leader, ENJOY the journey by sharing experiences with every member to ENRICH with toastmasters program. We began our journey with the end result in mind, following a simple logic of ‘planning the year and taking relevant actions collectively, to reach everyone’s goal - which I named “Operation 100%”
In our pursuit of becoming “the best President’s Distinguished District in the world of toastmasters”, we were able to accomplish the highest standards ever for District 82 and be the No.1 in many facets, standards and measures, which I am finally able to summarize and attach herewith, for your pleasurable indulgence.
Further, I wish to dedicate the following Awards to my dear members, which shall be conferred on us by the toastmasters International, at the Halle of Fame ceremony, during the 2017 International Convention in Canada;
- 3rd in the world - in terms of Distinguished Club Percentage achieved – 98%
- Excellence in leadership Award – for being distinguished for 3 or more years
- Excellence in Program Quality Award - for achieving distinguished club target
- Excellence in Club Growth Award – for achieving net club growth target
- President’s 20+ Award – 1st in the World with highest percent of clubs with 20+ members
- President’s Extension Award – 3rd in the world in highest net club growth
Though I am unable to thank you individually, let me personally touch your golden hearts to pay my heartfelt gratitude for supporting my journey and being with me throughout the year 2016/17 to achieve the best, in order to give voice to the potential of our membership. Thank you for the privilege given to make a contribution to the welfare of my fellow toastmasters as your District Director and as your servant leader.
Please accept my sincere appreciation for the great support extended and sharing my vision to achieve the best by engaging, enjoying and enriching your life and of our membership. I trust we together have made it to the pinnacle of our journey.
