Greetings Division L,

Wishing everyone a very happy Independence day. I am delighted to be the Conference Chair for OUR Division L's Semi - Annual Conference "LEVITY". What is more befitting than hosting OUR Division Level Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contest at the "Heartland of Humor "? The  city  of Madurai is well known for it's Tamil Sangam , a major congregation of Tamil scholars who convened to help thrive the proud language called Tamil. The Majestic Meenakshi Amman Temple stands proud and tall warbling the unsung song. The great man wearing a  simple loin cloth , round spectacles and a stick in his hand quotes that  he got the strength to shed his traditional  wear in this great city. Humor runs in the blood of people down here. Humor can always be found where there is fearlessness , audacious remarks & lively diction. This soil has been the birth place for many comedians & ages old Humor clubs. Silappatikaram stands as a beacon of righteousness reminding us that even the king is under the law & about fair judgement.

The Athens of the East , Thoonga Nagaram ,Cultural Cradle of the South ,Temple City & the Heartland of Humor warmly welcomes you to be a part in the making of history of OUR Division L's Semi - Annual Conference "LEVITY"!! Champions get ready to compete to clinch  the title! It's time for us to be as great as the Tamil Sangam & for OUR  song to resound for ages to come. Let's etch our names in the pages of Silappatikaram. Let our roars of laughter shake the thrones of the Gods & our river of thoughts overflow the banks of Vaigai. Witness the clash of the  titans! Laugh till you can no  more & then laugh a little more! :) It's OUR conference. So I request the support from all of you to make OUR conference a grand success.

So pack your bags , hit the  road and if you find  people buzzing like bees even when the owls hoot  , welcomes you like an old friend & the aroma of appetizing food floating in the air , then you have reached the right destination. I  will be waiting for you on the other side with a cool Jigarthanda.😉
