[CT Birds] 25 waterfowl species today

Connecticut year birds was my goal today, and I just happened to see 25waterfowl species today, which might be a personal record. In no particularorder, the 25 species are listed below, with the highest number at one locationgiven.

1. Wood Duck - 1 male - Milford, Silver Sands (this was the last one of the dayafter missing wood duck at mondo ponds - it was in a puddle on the side ofthe entrance road at sunset)
2. Mallard - 35 - Milford, Mondo Ponds
3. American Black Duck - 35 - Stratford, Railroad trail off Long Beach Blvd4. Gadwall - 6 - Stratford, Frash Pond5. Green-winged Teal - 7 - Westport, Sherwood Island6. Northern Pintail - 2 - Stratford, Birdseye boat ramp7. Lesser Scaup - 2 - Stratford, Stratford Point8. Greater Scaup - 29 - Stratford, Stratford Point9. Red-breasted Merganser - 8 - Stratford, Bonds docks at end of Stratford Ave10. Common Merganser - 5 - Milford, Mondo Ponds11. Hooded Merganser - 16 - Stratford, Short Beach12. Black Scoter - 2 - Stratford, Stratford Point13. Surf Scoter - 12 - Stratford, Stratford Point14. White-winged Scoter - 1 - Stratford, Stratford Point15. Common Goldeneye - 50 - Westport, Burying Hill Road/Beach16. American Wigeon - 18 - Fairfield, Southport Beach17. Eurasian Wigeon - 1 male - Fairfield, Southport Beach18. Long-tailed Duck - 12 - Stratford, Long Beach19. Ring-necked Duck - 82 - Milford, Mondo Ponds20. Canvasback - 21 - Stratford, Frash Pond21. Redhead - 1 male - Westport, Burying Hill Road/Beach22. Bufflehead - 2- Stratford, Frash Pond & Birdseye boat ramp23. Canada Goose - 38 - Westport, Sherwood Island24. Brant - 40 - Stratford, Seawall25.
