I have seen two larger groups of goldfinches feeding in fields this week. Personably notable, I don’t recall seeing groups this size congregating together. A group of 20-30 by the side of the road at Shettle Meadows Resevoir in Southington and a dozen to two dozen at Mill woods field near the pond <— I am glad to see that Wetherfield is keeping these unmowed / maintained spaces. I had 20 species of birds there, concentrated in tree area and small field space.
