10/14/12 - New Haven, East Rock Park BIG SIT™, 7:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Only 18 species on a very windy day with “land birds” few and far
between, but there were a few good birds. Most of the action was in
the sky or on the river. Highlights: Pied-billed Grebe (3), Great
Egret (1), Wood Duck (8), Osprey (1), PEREGRINE FALCON (2), Eastern
Phoebe (1), COMMON RAVEN (1), Pine Warbler (1).
