It was just reported on the GroupMe Connecticut Rare Bird Alert that a SWAINSON'S WARBLER is being seen in Stamford right now! It was singing quite a bit according to the person that found it - Ricky Chmielecki.
The bird apparently is at coordinates 41.122908 -73.60888
He has attached a recording to his checklist:
https://ebird.org/checklist/S333420672
According to him, it is just south of the road near a sharp turn and bridge. Apparently this is a narrow road and there is limited parking, and someone is working on better access with the water company.
That is all the information I have; hopefully others will post here about it since this represents a state first!
Congratulations Ricky!!
