Hi CTAT Team,
I read the documentation here for packaging my tutor into a SCORM: https://github.com/CMUCTAT/CTAT/wiki/Deploying-your-Tutor#scorm-moodle-blackboard.

These instructions apply for someone who is exporting the .html files directly from HTML editor. In my case, I have modified the HTML files and added more assets and Javascript. So, is there any way I can export it to SCORM? I am also interested in streaming the data from my LMS directly to Datashop.

Thanks,
V. Aravind

I apologize. I see the instructions are meant for export from the CTAT software. I was able to export SCORM and deploy it to my LMS. However, I have a few questions:

(1) I used https://learnlab.web.cmu.edu/log/server as the destination for logging data, but I got an error message saying my LMS was not able to make a connection and my data may not be recorded (see attached picture). I am not sure if this error is from my LMS or from CTAT, but is there a workaround solution?

(2) I understand as of now, that the CTAT can export only 1 brd and 1 html file to the SCORM package. If I want to deploy an entire problem set in 1 assignment on my LMS, is this possible? (May be in a future version?)

(3) If I would like to grade my students based on their work in my tutor, deployed on the LMS, how can I do this?

Thanks

With respect to the error you show, would it be possible for me, as a test user, to try the tutor from your site? My first impression is that it might not have to do with DataShop access, but without some probing via the browser's console, it's tough to diagnose.

We do plan to make our SCORM packages capable of running problem sets. Don't hesitate to keep asking about this, for much of the code to do this is already available.

There is a means for SCORM packages to return a simple percent value as a grade to their host LMS. With CTAT tutors, where in most cases students (via hints) can eventually see the answers and often must get steps right to proceed, we calculate that value as completion: (no. of steps completed)/(no. of steps required),  where the denominator is the sum of the minimum-traversal counts on the student's path from the start state to the done state.

Thanks, Jonathan. I spoke to my LMS people and it seems to be a very round-about way to add external students/participants to my course in LMS. I cannot do it myself, and I have to go through several rounds of approval before they can add external user.

In any case, I did find the data logged when I went to my page in Datashop this morning. (The data is called LMS-Test; it is just test data). As for now, given the convenience of Tutorshop (uploading problem sets + easy logging), I will stick with it. Thank you very much for your prompt response!

Best
