Errors with getstops in bus tracker api

Recently, I have been seeing a ton of errors when trying to call getstops.  Has this endpoint's requirements changed at all?  I am calling it like this:

http://www.ctabustracker.com/bustime/api/v1/getstops?key=[API-KEY]&rt=8&dir=North%20Bound  

and this is what I get back:

<bustime-response>

<error>

<rt>8</rt>

<dir>North Bound</dir>

<msg>No data found for parameters</msg>

</error>

</bustime-response>

Has something changed recently that I may have missed?  Thanks for your help!
