Hello,

I was hoping somebody could answer this, I could not find it in the docs.(Maybe I missed out something)

I would like to use GTFS data for the city of Chicago to compute the average delay of trains and/or metro (not bus) in a certain zone in a specific time window.

For this, I was planning to get the previous 3 years train data and GTFS files for those years.  Since the GTFS is updated bi-weekly, I thought one way to keep track is to compare the deviations of the schedule.

But I'm wondering who I can ask for train data (maybe CTA Train tracker API) for those years. (preferably as a large dump, I don't want to hog the API bandwidth).

The point is that I'd be able to calculate deviations of schedule in a meaningful way.

Any leads would be highly appreciated! Anyone to ask/call/inquire? I can call them as well and ask nicely :)

Thanks a lot!

When you say train do you mean CTA rail or Metra or both.  Why not do some one day samples just before the next schedule comparing that day to the schedule previously released?

And have you looked at https://harperreed.com/writing/2010/09/25/cta-hacking-unofficial-apis-and-winning-a-data-innovation-award/
