Bus API cardinal direction specification formatting

We're looking into your questions regarding whether something had changed in the API with bus arrivals.

 

The schema and function of the API has remained the same, though it appears whether or not a space appears in cardinal direction as expressed as a value in the API response ("eastbound" vs "East Bound") had temporarily changed. We're looking into why this was with the vendor (who produces the hardware and software that are all the essential parts Bus Tracker) and will try to get you an answer on what to expect in the future so any issues can be anticipated and avoided in the future.

 

Of course, we want to give you responses that are consistent and within your expectations, so that's our goal here in resolving this. Generally, as we did with upcoming new destinations showing up in Train Tracker, we do try to make sure anything new is reasonably predictable by giving (at least) an advance "heads up" though, obviously there are exceptions to the norm with systems as large and complex as ours.

 

We're sorry if this has caused you any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience while we look to clear this up.
