Subject: Art Demo and Workshop MAY 20 and 25

Avon Arts Association will host guest artist Carol Ganick at Avon Town Hall, 300 E. Main Street, on Tues. May 20, 6:30 pm where she will demonstrate the painting of flowers in watercolor.  This event is open to the public and free ($5 suggested donation) .Her workshop will be on Sat. May 25 from 10am - 2pm ($45 for members, $55 for non-members) at the same location.  

Carol has taught watercolor at the West Hartford Art League for over 30 years. Her work is generally characterized by strong use of gestural brush strokes. Some of her classes focus on composition and painting principles, others stress practice and mastery of techniques. During her demo on May 20, she will talk about some of the difficulties and benefits of working with this medium. Her workshop will provide an introduction to watercolor painting, including a lesson in painting flowers.
