ELLEN'S WORK

July: fireworks, barbecues, and the beach.

But before you head out to celebrate summer, a giant request from all of us at AMP. Today is the launch of the Northwest Corner Gives campaign. Now is to your opportunity to show and double your support for AMP.

So, if you have loved our kids' programs, our LIVE @AMP concerts, popular piano series, fun Family Days, or you just love all of us who give you tours and sweep up after everyone leaves, please send a few dollars our way. With your help, we stand to take a big leap forward, taking advantage of this opportunity to unlock our $10,000 match.

And I will repeat what I have said before. In the northwest corner of Connecticut, we are lucky to live in a very special place. AMP and so many other charitable organizations have benefited from a community foundation that has been always attentive to our needs and cognizant of our efforts to help others. I have never taken their widespread blanket of support for granted and I appreciate it more every year.

Thank you Northwest CT Community Foundation and all of you, our amazing support team. You guys continue to make the difference.

Saturday, July 18

Doors: 6:30pm | Show: 8pm

Get ready for a night of blues, swing, and jump jazz with The Love Dogs. Featuring a powerhouse horn section, boogie-woogie piano, killer guitar, and a charismatic front man, this acclaimed band brings infectious energy wherever they play.

SUMMER @AMP

Summer is in full swing at AMP! Our first two weeks have been full, but we have a few more spaces left in our July programs for both kids and teens: STEAM, Art Play, Dabble, and Band Lab. Grab your kids a spot now for a summer they'll be talking about all year.

AMP’s summer programs made possible in part by Thomaston Savings Bank.

FAMILY DAY

Saturday, July 4 Family Day Celebration!

Join us at 11am for a special Live Music Story Time featuring patriotic songs with AMP's own, Michelle Begley.

Afterward, explore our five-story mural celebrating the workers who make America great. Sew felt stars with members of the Winsted Senior Center—take one home and leave one behind as part of a sparkling collaborative artwork that will be displayed at AMP throughout July. Other activities include scavenger hunts, cornhole, ring toss, and an opportunity to prove that you are a super-duper hula hooper!

Walk-ins are welcome, but registering helps us plan ahead.

AMP’s Family Days are supported by the generosity of the Comis Foundation and Torrington Savings Bank.
