FABLES, TALES, RHYMES & RIDDLES AN EXHIBITION OF THE ART OF JANET LEOMBRUNI
Fables, Tales, Rhymes & Riddles will be on view in the Wethersfield Museum's Watson Gallery (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) October 2 through October 26. There will be an opening reception on October 5 from1:00 pm - 2:30 pm. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission is free of charge. Janet Leombruni is a Wethersfield, Connecticut based artist who is President of the CT Women Artists and has taught for many years in the Hartford Public School system as a Visual Arts Teacher. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, receiving many awards, and her work is part of many private collections. Most recently, Leombruni’s work has been with the HCVM gallery in NYC on the Jumbotron. Her work has been included in the Hillstead Museum in CT, the Slater Museum in CT, the Barnes Franklin Gallery at Tunxis CT State College, the Jorgensen Gallery at UCONN, the Mixmaster at the Mattatuck Museum, Waterbury, CT, in the CT Academy of Fine Art’s 111th National Annual Exhibition, receiving the Painting Award, Connecticut Women Artists’ National Exhibition, receiving 2nd place, CT+6 Regional Exhibition for 2021 and 2022, Wethersfield Academy of the Arts National Exhibition juried by Peter Trippi of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, The Monastary Gallery in West Hartford, CT, the Zihlka Gallery at Wesleyan, Chen Fine Arts Center at CCSU, Traveling Sketchbook Library in Brookline, NYC, North Winds Fine Art Gallery in Saranac, NY, FRESH ART in San Rafael, California, and SOHO 20 in NYC. She has studied with Paul Zimmerman, Rudolph Zallinger, Lloyd Glasson, Mike Alewitz, Rachel Siporin, and Mark Strathy.
