EYA has been in contact with CSX and will be working with the company as well as the District government to ensure that Capitol Quarter continues to be a great community if CSX’s National Gateway proposal goes forward. There are a significant number of approvals and funding sources that must be approved before such work could take place. Our goal is to ensure that any proposal that’s considered includes the needs and concerns of the Capitol Quarter community. The area around Capitol Quarter is one of the most rapidly redeveloping neighborhoods in the city with a significant amount of current and planned building activity so we’re used to working with other developers and property owners and the city about projects near Capitol Quarter. Stay tuned for additional updates as they become available.
