| ready to apply?.. | | | | Seeking a Legislative Research Expert for Barbados | Compete Caribbean+ is seeking a legislative research expert to conduct work in Barbados. This individual consulting opportunity involves providing expertise to develop a legislative gap analysis and policy recommendations reports for the non-bank financial sector in Barbados, specifically the areas of pensions, credit unions, insurance and microfinance. | The consultancy will require review of all relevant legislation, preparation of detailed legislative gap analysis (including comparative benchmarking to national and international benchmarks), and preparation of updated policy recommendation reports for the identified sectors. The consultant will also lead stakeholder consultation and validation processes. | The desired candidate will have demonstrated experience in Law, preferably with a specialization in financial regulation, commercial law, or legislative drafting, and experience in legal reform. Experience working with regulatory authorities and working in the Caribbean would be an asset. | | Seeking an Expert Legislative Drafter for Barbados | Compete Caribbean+ is seeking an experienced legislative drafter to conduct an assignment in Barbados. The individual consulting opportunity would require providing expertise to develop draft legislative instruments and regulations for the non-bank financial sector in Barbados. You will prepare legislative drafting instructions and draft legislation for four sectors (pensions, insurance, credit unions, microfinance), develop supervisory guidelines and regulations for the legislation and create practical toolkits and templates to apply the new frameworks and guide implementation. | The desired candidate will have demonstrated experience in legal and regulatory drafting, preferably in the financial sector, and demonstrated experience developing supervisory and regulatory instruments.
