You may know Nuclear Weapons and Human Future, 20 minute DVD, was published in 2007 and has become worldwide popular among youth especially. I forward exchange of emails with Dr. David Krieger, in which time line follows from the bottom. In the U.S. it is free and copyright free, meaning burning DVD-R is encouraged! In the first year of the historical Obama Administration right before August 6 and 9 it is a critical timing.

Dear Tamaki,
Thanks for sharing the DVD, Nuclear Weapons and the Human Future. Please let people know that we are happy to send the DVD to individuals who pledge to show it to groups of people in their area. We think it is a valuable educational tool and I hope you agree. The more we can dispel ignorance about nuclear weapons, the closer we will be to eliminating their threat to humanity. Yesterday I sent this message as a comment to the New York Times:
“Nuclear weapons are the only weapon capable of destroying the United States. They are also weapons capable of ending civilization and most life on earth. Ridding the world of nuclear weapons is not a pipedream, but a necessity. These "omnicidal" weapons are not capable of protecting their possessors. Yes, they can be used to threaten massive retaliation, but that is not protection. Nuclear weapons have been used for deterrence, but deterrence is only a theory -- one that requires rational leaders and locatable enemies. Not all leaders, including our own, are rational at all times and under all circumstances, particularly conditions of stress that could lead to nuclear weapons use. And extremist groups have no territory, are not locatable, and thus cannot be deterred. One extremist group in possession of a few, or even one, nuclear weapon could radically change our thinking on the value of nuclear weapons. These weapons also undermine our democracy by placing world destroying power in the hands of only a few decision makers. We had better become serious about eliminating nuclear weapons before they eliminate us.”
I think it is a great idea for you to encourage President Obama to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He has already spoken about America’s “moral responsibility” to act and lead in moving toward a world free of nuclear threat. He just might make the trip – for the good of humanity.

We really appreciate great multimedia resource with your personal
narration,
and copyright free setting. Not original but a burned DVD-R with laptop
computer were sent to Pr. and Mrs. Ikeda while I was in Japan last
fall.
What a coincident! An 8 year daughter of my home-stay family learned
about
nuclear weapons in her Jewish school a few days ago, and we checked
Hiroshima and Nagasaki
on the map. She interestingly watched your DVD even being sleepy before
going
to bed.
In the first year of historical Obama Administration right before
August 6 and
9, I wish to write a letter to him inviting especially to Hiroshima
because no American presidents ever
have visited there.
Anyway, thank you very much for interesting appeal for younger
generations!
