Greetings all,
Hoping you all had a fabulous spring break as we transition back for the home stretch of the academic year!
After a hiatus due to inclement weather and spring break, we will be back with our Geospatial drop-in sessions this Wednesday 3/27 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Warner College West lab on the second floor. As always, these are opportunities for students, researchers, staff, and faculty alike to join us to discuss GIS topics, learn new GIS tips, work on projects, or have questions answered.
Additionally, we would like to use these drop-in sessions to offer 15-minute presentations on topics of interest (really anything geospatial!). If you have something that you would like to present either this week or at a future meeting, please contact Ned or me.
Not to be missed, there are a handful of upcoming geospatial and data science events this week:
- 3/26/2019 | 2:30 - 4:30 pm | Morgan Library | Alex Fout | Data and Donuts: Reproducible reports using RMarkdown
- 3/28/2019 | 3:30 - 4:30 pm | WCNR Room 345 | Kristen Waring | Using interdisciplinary research across scales to manage for healthy species and forests
- Several interesting offerings from the Computer Science Colloquium on big data, smart cities, and cloud and data center processing infrastructure.
