1-Day  Workshops

 Dear Educators,

We are excited to announce our 1-Day Workshop Dates.

·                  AscentED - Tuesday, August 19th  9:30am - 3:30pm  

·                  Lab Exploration - Monday, August 11th

o        Cell Needs and "Skin Deep" (Elementary School) - 9:00am - 11:00am

o        Stem Cells, Bioreactor Basics, and Ghostly Organ (Middle School) - 11:15am - 1:15pm

o        "DIY Bioreactor" and Spinach Decell (High School) - 2:00pm - 4:00pm

·                  Please note that while each lab session is geared toward the grade level indicated, most labs can be adapted for most grades.

 

·                  Tech Deep Dive (2 sessions) 

o        In-Person - Wednesday, August 13th 9:00am - 1:00pm

o        Virtual Webinar - Tuesday, August 26th 12:30pm - 4:30pm

Train-the-Trainer

Dear Educators,

ARMI is offering a 3-day BioTrek Train the Trainer Workshop  in our EWD Classroom from June 24-26th for you to learn how to bring BioTrek to your classroom at no cost to you! If interested, then please reply to this email or register with the link in the program guide.

Train-the-Trainer – June 24-26, 2025; 9:30am - 3:30pm

Teachers, ELO Coordinators, and more are invited to attend ARMI’s Train-the-Trainer program to learn how to implement BioTrek in their school/organization. Over the course of a three-day in-person workshop, an ARMI Educator will lead participants through every aspect of the BioTrek program, facilitate tours of local biotechnology facilities, and provide access to curriculum documents. Curriculum includes lesson plans, student workbooks, hands-on activities, website access, and more.

Benefits include:

• $375 Stipend & 18 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

• Ghost Organ Presentation

• Tour of ARMI Facilities

• Tour of the UNH-Manchester BioLoft

• Access to all BioTrek curriculum and more…

The BioTrek Program Guide details:

  • Information Sessions to learn about our programs from an EWD Member
  • 20-24 hours of curriculum in the BioTrek program
  • Newly created Ascent program with 5-10 hours of curriculum based on teacher requests for a condensed version of BioTrek
  • Stand-alone or stackable Explore lessons
  • Professional development opportunities including Train the Trainer and 1-day workshops

 

We encourage every participating teacher at your school to register for BioTrek programming at your earliest convenience. Please share this opportunity with any colleagues who may be interested.
