Hi all,

If you're located in the eastern MN / Twin Cities area, please take a look at the summer opportunity below (and flier attached) for teachers to participate in a research experience. They are also encouraging teachers from the same school to apply, so please share in your networks as well!

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jennifer,

I need some help spreading the word about the NSF-RET program I am involved in. The three UW campuses in western Wisconsin will be holding a summer research program for computer science (CS) teachers in high schools in the area, that includes western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota (including Twin Cities metro area), essentially any place within a reasonable commuting distance for a few weeks.

The applicants do not need any prior research experience and the program is meant to count toward professional development. There is a $10,000 stipend involved and the program itself is 7-weeks long. There is a 4-week period in June, ending before July 4th, when the participants will be working on CS research with UW professors and students, and a 3-week period in mid-to-late July when they will be involved in developing curriculum based on that research.

I have attached a recruitment poster with more information and links to apply. We want this to have as much visibility as possible, so please feel free to share this widely.

Thanks,
Abhi
