Summer Student Opportunity: Hackathon

Hi CSTA-Minnesota!

We’re thrilled to share an exciting in-person opportunity for your students this summer, and we’d love for you to help spread the word to the families and young people you serve!

Code Savvy’s Innovate for Good Hackathon is a free, hands-on event where students ages 8–18 will explore coding, creativity, and community impact using the micro:bit.

Event Details:
📅 Date: Saturday, June 21st
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
📍 Location: Target Plaza Commons (Minneapolis)
👥 Who: Students ages 8–18 – no prior CS experience needed!

What’s in it for students?

• A chance to build a project that makes a difference

• An opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges
