The UofM is Hiring: AI Makerspace Lab Manager & Educator!

The University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering is building something exciting—an AI Makerspace, opening in Fall 2025! And we need someone to lead the charge.

This is more than a lab. It’s a hands-on AI innovation hub where students will design, build, and experiment with AI-driven technologies—going beyond LLMs and image generation into real-world applications like compute-constrained EdgeML, AI-driven object identification for robotics, and Custom Machine learning for science & engineering.

As our AI Makerspace Lab Manager, you’ll:

Design workshops, courses, and competitions to help students learn and apply AI.
Oversee a state-of-the-art lab space and a team of student workers.
Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and industry partners to shape the next wave of AI talent.
Build an inclusive, hands-on learning environment for students of all backgrounds.

We’re looking for someone passionate about education, AI, and innovation ready to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
