Accepting applications: Experience CS 'train the trainer' program

Hello CSTA-MN, 

We are excited to share that the Raspberry Pi Foundation is continuing our Experience CS ‘train the trainer’ program—a free, six-week online professional development opportunity designed to prepare educators to lead professional development and support the implementation of our free Experience CS learning materials across their schools, districts, or organizations.

Through a blend of live sessions and asynchronous work, participants will deepen their understanding of computer science pedagogy, build expertise in the Experience CS learning materials, and develop the facilitation skills, training resources, and strategies needed to confidently onboard and support educators implementing Experience CS.

Live sessions will be held Tuesdays, July 21 - August 25, from 3:00 to 4:00 CT. 

Live session structure: 

• Week 1: Introduction to Experience CS

• Week 2: Introduction to CS pedagogy

• Week 3: Curriculum overview

• Week 4: Culturally relevant pedagogy and localization

• Week 5: Introduction to Code Classroom

• Week 6: Action planning and reflection

Program outcomes: 

• Increase your comfort and confidence in facilitating Experience CS professional development

• Strengthen your knowledge and expertise in Experience CS content and pedagogy

• Build connections with a community of educators committed to expanding access to computer science
