Hi Liz,

To celebrate Coolest Projects coming to the USA, we’re inviting your Code Club to a super fun, online codealong that uses our simple AI Scratch project, Chomp the Cheese

Get ready to chomp! With the magic of Scratch Lab’s facial recognition you’ll build a game controlled by your mouth, where you’ll chomp down on delicious cheese or an item of your choice. We guarantee lots of giggles at this codealong — and maybe even a few burps!

We'll be going live on Tuesday, March 11 at 1.00pm PST / 3.00pm CST / 4.00pm EST. Get it in your calendars!
Register your Code Club

Who's invited?

Any young person aged nine or above is welcome to join. No previous coding experience is required, and any number of young people can join together as one group. Please note that creators will need access to a webcam for this codealong.

Coolest Projects USA

After creators have completed their Chomp the Cheese project, we encourage them to join us at Coolest Projects USA on April 5, 2025 at the Science Museum of Minnesota

Coolest Projects is a free in-person event for young tech creators. It’s a great opportunity for young people to come together and celebrate their coding creations — whether they’re big, small, a work in progress, or a world-beating idea!

Travel stipends are available to all Code Club creators, parents, and guardians within the USA.

We look forward to coding along with you on Tuesday, March 11!

Happy coding,

Kevin
